Children of the Holocaust

There was over 1.5 million children under the age of 16 who died in the Holocaust. They didn't get to have a fun childhood as most probbaly wanted, instead they got one full of hate and torture. Children were vulnerable against the Nazi's and Hitler. The first law that affected jewish students was called, "Law agianst overcrowding in German school and Universities". It banned Jewish children from being allowed to go to school. Most children under the age of 12 were eitheir killed upon arrival at concentration camps, or used as medical experiments and tortured. The children used in medical experiments were eitheir handicapped, disabled, or twins. Some children were even forced to go into hiding with their families in hidden closets, holes, and sometimes even sewers. On The night of Broken Glass November 9 , 1938 children were transported to Britain for a program called, "Kindertransport." The Nazi's had to be paid about $250 for each child. The children between the ages of 3 and 17 had to leave Germany alone, with no parents, or guardians. Only around 20% of them had been able to join back with their parents. Imagine having to go through that as a child.
